1.) Double click on My
Computer
2.) Double click on Dialup
Networking
3.) Right-click the Carolina
Internet (cchat, etc.) Left-click on Properties or Highlight the Carolina
Internet Icon (cchat, etc.) & Left-click on File then Properties .
4.) This is where you need
to verify that your dialup number is input correctly (Dialup number we
provided you at time of signup "414-0340"). You also need to verify that
the box next to "Use area code and dialing properties" is uncheck
5.) Left-click on Configure,
at the bottom of this screen under "Maximum Speed" Use the arrow down
and choose 38400. (This will not slow down your connect speed) By doing
this we can add more error correction and make for a faster better connection.
Below that box make sure that "Only connect at this speed" is NOT Checked.
6.) Left-click on ServerTypes.
Under the Advanced Options, only have a check in the box next to Enable
Software Compression. Under Allowed Network Protocalos, only have a check
in the box next to TCP/IP. Then left click TCP/IP Settings.
7.) At the top of this screen,
Choose Server Assigned IP Address. In the middle of the screen, Choose
Server Assigned Name Server Addresses. At the bottom of this screen, both
boxes need to be checked.
8.) Your done with checking
your Dialup Networking Settings. Hit OK all the way back the the Dialup
Networking Folder, and your ready to give it a try again.
