How to Change the Phone Number in Dial-Up Networking

1.) From your desktop double-click "My Computer." The following window will appear:

2.) Double click the "Dial-Up Networking" icon and the following window appears:

3.) If there are icons other than "Make New Connection" and "Carolina Internet" you can delete them by right-clicking, selecting "Delete" from the menu and then left-clicking. When the dialogue appears asking if you're sure you want to delete click "Yes."

4.) Right-click your "Carolina Internet" icon and select (left-click) "Properties" from the menu.

5.) To change the telephone number, highlight to select the current number and type in "414-0340" in its place. Also make sure the "Use area code and Dialing Properties" box is NOT checked. When you're done click the "OK" button, exit any windows that remain and connect to the internet as usual.
